That’s called professionalism... About a year or so ago I clicked on Door County real estate to see what was available and at what prices. The Erickson site was the most complete and informative. During the year we were emailed new listings and updates every week or so. Linda saw the Sunrise Dunes property while looking at the site and we kept talking about it. When we called for more information we were given everything quickly and in depth. Connie kept in touch with us and we bought…just like that. The main things we liked about dealing with Erickson was the local knowledge, informative emails and updates and most of all the absolute friendliness of everyone. You folks didn’t know us at all, didn’t know if we were serious or not and yet treated us like we had known you for a long time. That’s called professionalism, and it shows. We had spoken to another REALTOR in that area and they asked if we were going to buy within the next 3-6 months and we told them we were not sure. They said when we decided to get serious to get back to them. No follow up or anything. They never asked what we were looking for or anything. So here we were buying a small rather inexpensive piece of land and Connie treats us like we were buying a million dollar property. Again, professionalism. Oh, Tracey at the title company? Same friendly professional attention. If y’all are like this on a small transaction it means that all your customers are important and treated well. Again, the web site, the follow-up emails with new listings, the ease of doing business, the total customer service in all phases of the deal, no pressure, product knowledge, what more could we ask for? --Jeff and Linda Forslund See More Testimonials
About Appraisals >The Language of Real Estate Agents
Technical terms can be confusing to people who do not work in a profession, and real estate agents use language that may be confusing to many home buyers and sellers.
If you find your eyes glazing over when your real estate agent starts talking about escrow, clear title, easements, encroachments, contingencies, financing, appraisals and the closing process, don't hesitate to ask for a translation. Buying or selling a home is a major step, and professional real estate agents are totally committed to helping you understand the process thoroughly so that you can make informed decisions.
The simple transaction of trading the sellers' house for the buyers' money has become complicated by several hundred years of custom, common law, and state and local government requirements. Consumer demands have resulted in up-to-date rules that communication be as clear and understandable as possible. Real estate agents work to create an atmosphere in which you feel comfortable to ask questions.
